How we calculate

Your employer deducts the pension, disability and sickness contributions from your gross salary (rates in the table). Pension and disability stop at a yearly cap on the contribution base; above it your net pay goes up. The health contribution is taken from the salary after those contributions and does not reduce your tax.

The PIT advance is calculated on your income minus ZUS contributions and deductible costs, rounded to whole złoty. With PIT-2 your employer subtracts part of the tax-free amount every month. Once the bases since January pass the scale threshold, the excess is taxed at the higher rate.

The youth relief exempts income from tax up to a yearly limit, but not from contributions. With PPK your employer's payment counts as your taxable income, and your own payment comes off your net pay.

This is an estimate of your monthly pay. Bonuses, awards, sick pay, several employers and the annual PIT return are not included. This is not personal tax advice.
